dulcite Chem.|ˈdʌlsaɪt| [f. L. dulc-is sweet + -ite.] A saccharine substance (C6H14O6) similar to and isomeric with mannite, obtained from various plants, and known in the crude state as Madagascar manna. Also called dulcin, dulcitol, dulcose.
