晚上，我和妈妈一块去捉小蝉，我们带好了工具就出发了。

来到大坝上，我们仔细寻找，过了好一会儿，我听到妈妈大叫一声：“快来看，这里有一只小蝉。”我和爸爸飞奔过去，我看见那只小蝉已经开始蜕皮了，爸爸把它捉住后放到我的手里，我感觉它的身体软软的，像一块棉花糖，仔细一看，淡黄色的身体，两只黄黄的小眼睛长在头的两侧，嘴巴上长着像针一样的长长地吸管，它有六条腿，还长着一对嫩嫩的小翅膀，屁股软软的，可爱极了。我想，过不了多久，它就会变成一只全身黑色的长着一对有力的翅膀，展翅飞翔。我带着这只小蝉继续去寻找新的小蝉……

在回家的路上，我看着它想，小蝉只能活五周，但它们并没有放弃每一个爬出地面的机会。因为它们有一个共同的梦想，那就是成为主宰夏天的歌唱家。虽然它们听不到自己的歌声，但它们每天却很快乐，自信的在大声歌唱，它们共同谱写出一首首夏天的乐曲。
On the way home, I looked at it and thought, little cicadas can only live for five weeks, but they didn't give up every chance to climb out of the ground.
