自从学了《一个小村庄的故事》以后，我越来越觉得植树很重要，就一直想栽一棵小树苗，我把这个想法告诉了爸爸：爸爸我们可不可以在清江河边去栽一棵小树呢？爸爸说：“当然可以，这样既能保护环境，又能防止空气污染。”

我和爸爸妈妈来到清江河边，选了块空地，用铲子挖了个坑，然后我把小树苗小心翼翼地放进坑里，我又拿着铲子，使劲把土一铲一铲地抛进树坑，爸爸双手紧紧地扶正小树苗。树坑里的土逐渐变多，我的额头上也滚落下一颗颗豆大的汗珠。妈妈对我说：“你休息一会儿，让我来吧！”我摇摇头说：“不用了，我不累！”妈妈拿着装满水的小桶给小树浇水，水顺着土流到树苗的根部。

I shook my head and said, "no, I'm not tired!" Mother took a bucket full of water to water the tree. The water flowed down the soil to the roots of the seedlings.
看着小树苗我自言自语地说：“以后每年的今天我就会来这里种下一棵树，让它们给你作伴。也许二十年后，这里就成了一片小树林呢！”
