Youth; young people collectively, esp. viewed by others as a constituency to be catered for (as regards entertainment, marketing, etc.); also spec. after Jamaican use, rebellious or dissatisfied young people; occas., a youth (pl. yooves). Freq. in attrib. use as yoof culture, etc. (often with respelt second element: cf. kulchur n.).
