a. (A member of) a South American Indian people, inhabiting parts of southern Venezuela and northern Brazil.
b. The Chibchan language of this people. Also attrib. or as adj.
The Yanomamö have attracted considerable anthropological interest because of the unusually aggressive nature of their traditional society and values.
