tuffite, n. Geol.|ˈtʌfaɪt| [ad. G. Tuffit (O. Mügge 1893, in Neues Jahrb. f. Min. VIII. 708): see tuff n., -ite1.] Any composite rock which consists of a mixture of pyroclastic and sedimentary material, esp. one in which pyroclasts predominate.
