1678Phillips (ed. 4), Trunked, in Heraldry Trees growing on a Stock, are said to be Trunked. c1828Berry Encycl. Her. I. Gloss., Trunked is..said of a tree, the main stem of which is borne of a different tincture from the branches.
2. Having a trunk or proboscis; proboscidiferous.
