‖ triplum Mus.|ˈtrɪplʊm| Pl. tripla. [med.L., neut. of triplus triple a.; cf. treble n. 4.] In thirteenth- and fourteenth-century polyphonic vocal music, the third voice part, next but one above the tenor.
