‖ toering S. Afr.|ˈtuːrɪŋ| Also toeding, toudang, tudong. [Afrikaans, ad. Malay tudong (now tudung) cover, lid, sun-hat.] A wide-brimmed conical hat of straw, formerly worn by Cape Malays.
