[In sense 1, OE. þurruc ‘cumba’, small ship (?), bottom of a ship, bilge = Du. durk bilge (cf. durck, dorck ‘sentina’ in Kilian), of unknown etymology. It is doubtful whether senses 2 and 3 belong to the same word.]
