A. adj. In pronator teres: a pronating muscle of the forearm that arises from the humerus and ulna, near the elbow, and is inserted into the radius.
B. n. [sc. musculus.] Either of two muscles arising from the shoulder blade and inserted into the upper part of the humerus: the teres major draws the humerus towards the body and rotates it inwards; the teres minor rotates it outwards and helps steady its head.
