Gr. στόµ-α mouth + -ia2: see -oid.] A. n. A deep-sea fish of the suborder Stomiatoidei, distinguished by a large mouth and rows of photophores on its sides. B. adj. Of or pertaining to a fish of this kind or the suborder as a whole.
