Sothic, a.|ˈsɒθɪk, ˈsəʊθɪk| [f. Gr. σῶθις, an Egyptian name of Sirius, the dog-star.] 1. Sothic cycle or Sothic period, a period of 1460 full years, containing 1461 of the ancient Egyptian ordinary years.
