The science relating to the moon; chiefly, the science of the movements and astronomical relations of the moon (or, occasionally, the science of the formation of the moon's crust, lunar ‘geology’), in contradistinction to selenography. Hence selenoˈlogical a., of or pertaining to selenology; so selenoˈlogically adv.; seleˈnologist, one versed in selenology.
