1. n. pl. Zool. (Usu. with capital initial.) [neut. pl. of L. radiātus, pa. pple. of radiāre to furnish with rays: cf. next.] One of the great divisions of the animal kingdom according to the system of Cuvier (afterwards modified and now discarded), consisting of animals with radial structure, as sea urchins, sea anemones and polyps.
