‖ procedendo Law.|prəʊsiːˈdɛndəʊ| [L. prōcēdendo (ad judicium), ‘of proceeding (to judgement)’: see proceed v.] (In full (de) procedendo ad judicium.) A writ which formerly issued out of the common law jurisdiction of the Court of Chancery, commanding a subordinate court to proceed to judgement, either when judgement had been wrongfully delayed, or when the action had been removed to a superior court by certiorari or other writ on insufficient grounds.
