A kind of club, usu. consisting of a piece of stone or iron attached to a wooden handle, formerly used by some North American Indians.
1801A. Mackenzie Voy. from Montreal 37 The pogamagan is made of the horn of the rein-deer, the branches being all cut off except that which forms the extremity. c1804P. Grant in L. F. R.
