ˌphæochromocyˈtoma Path. Also pheo-. Pl. -omas, -omata. [mod.L., ad. G. phäochromocytom (L. Pick 1912, in Berlin. klin. Wochenschr. 1 Jan. 21/2): see prec. and -oma.] A tumour arising from chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla. Cf. paraganglioma.
