1. Arranged or situated around a centre or central body.
1857Mayne Expos. Lex., Pericentricus, Bot., applied by A. Richard to the insertion of stamens when the undivided part of the calyx being plane or only concave, the stamens appear to be disposed around the centre, as in the Polygoneæ: pericentric. 1895Funk's Stand. Dict., Pericentric, accumulated or deposited around a central point: specifically, in geology, said of lava accumulated on the sides of a cone, either in streams or as falling fragments.
