1. a. Pierced with one or more holes: said esp. of a thing constructed with small holes, spaces, or openings passing through (as a wall or carved panel).
perforated muscle, the short flexor of the toes, and the superficial flexor of the fingers, the tendons of which are perforated by those of the perforating muscles (see below). perforated tape, tape in which data are recorded by means of the pattern of holes punched in it; cf. tape n.1 2 b, paper tape s.v. paper n. 12, punched tape s.v. punched ppl. a. 2.
