a. pl. [Dutch n. 3 a.] The descendants of the original German settlers in Pennsylvania.
b. [see Dutch n. 1.] A Pennsylvanian dialect derived from the High German of a great number of the early settlers, with a considerable admixture of English elements.
B. adj. [Dutch a. 1.] Of or pertaining to the Pennsylvania Dutch or their dialect. So Pennsylvania Dutchman.
