1) none 前面出现过某一名词，或是后面有 of + 某一名词，此时 none 表示该名词（可数）所代表的多个事物当中“一个也没有”，也可以表示该名词（不可数）所代表的一团事物当中“一点也没有”。同前面名词相关的。

• —How many students went there?—None did. —多少个学生去了哪儿？—一个也没去。
• The children were playing, and she took care that none were hurt.孩子们在玩耍，她小心提防任何一个孩子受伤。
• —How much gasoline is left in the tank?—None. —油箱里还剩下多少汽油？—一点也没有了。

同后面 of + 名词相关的。

• None of us is infallible.我们没有一个人是绝无错误的。
• It's none of your business.这件事你管不着。
• None of the information is useful to me.这个信息，没有任何对我有用的东西。

2) 如果前后都没有相关的名词，none 此时相当于 nobody，作为主语，可以当作单数或复数处理。

• There are /is none to help me.没有能帮助我的人。
• None are so blind as those who won't see.瞎眼莫如不愿看者。

3) none 也可以作为一个表示否定的副词。none the + 形容词或副词比较级，是“丝毫不更如何如何”。

• I am afraid I am none the wiser for your explanation.听了您的解释，我恐怕还是听不明白。

none too/so + 形容词或副词原级，是“丝毫也不”的意思。

• none too good一点也不好
• I arrived none too soon.我到得一点也不早。
• I am none so fond of golfing.我一点也不喜欢打高尔夫球。
