2-Methyl-1, 4-naphthoquinone, C11H8O2, a yellow crystalline powder which is a synthetic analogue of vitamin K and is used, often in the form of its sodium bisulphite compound, in treating hæmorrhage due to hypoprothrombinæmia. In the British Pharmacopœia called menaphthone.
