[ad. F. magdalénien (G. de Mortillet, c 1867), f. the place-name La Madeleine in the department of Dordogne, France: see -an.]
A. adj. Of or belonging to the Lower Palæolithic culture represented by remains found at La Madeleine.
B. n. A man or woman of this culture.
