The name of W. B. Leishman (1865–1926), British pathologist, used attrib. and in the possessive with reference to his work in pathology, as Leishman('s) body = Leishman–Donovan body; Leishman('s) stain, a mixture of eosin and methylene blue used to stain blood smears.
