Koch–Weeks bacillus Med. [f. the names of Robert Koch (see Koch) and J. E. Weeks (1853–1949), American ophthalmologist: see bacillus.] The bacterium, Hæmophilus ægyptius, which is a common cause of infectious conjunctivitis.
