combining form of jugular a. and n., jugulum, in a few anatomical terms, as jugulo-ceˈphalic a., of or pertaining to the head and throat; in jugulo-cephalic vein, ‘an occasional vein which connects the cephalic and the external jugular veins’ (Syd. Soc. Lex. 1887); ˌjugulodiˈgastric a., designating a pair of lymph nodes (sometimes also including several smaller associated nodes) in the neck (see quots.); ˌjugulo-omoˈhyoid a., designating either of a pair of lymph nodes in the neck (see quots.).

VIII. 80 Examined from in front, certain members are particularly conspicuous.., and merit special mention: these are a large gland and a variable number of smaller nodes lying in a triangle formed by the posterior belly of the digastric, common facial vein, and internal jugular vein.
