‖ ischium|ˈɪskɪəm| Pl. ischia (in 7 erron. -ias). [L. ischium, a. Gr. ἰσχίον hip-joint; later as now used.] The lowest of the three parts of the os innominatum, the bone on which the body rests when sitting.
