(Also 8–9 erron. impara-.)
[f. L. impar unequal + syllabic: cf. parisyllabic.]
Applied to Greek and Latin nouns which have not the same number of syllables in all the cases: e.g. nom. ὀδούς, gen. ὀδόντος; nom. lapis, gen. lapidis.
