Any of the hydrocarbons of the paraffin series having twenty-one carbon atoms, esp. the unbranched isomer (n-heneicosane). Hence heneicoˈsanic, -cosaˈnoic, -coˈsoic acid, the saturated fatty acid, C₂₀H₄₁COOH, derived from n-heneicosane.
