harleian, a.|hɑːˈliːən, ˈhɑːlɪən| [ad. mod.L. Harleiānus, f. surname Harley.] Of or belonging to Robert Harley Earl of Oxford (1661–1724), and his son Edward Harley; esp. in reference to the library of books and MSS. collected by them, of which the MSS. were purchased in 1753 by the British nation and deposited in the British Museum.
