gradience, n. Chiefly Linguistics.|ˈgreɪdɪəns| [f. gradient a. and n.: see -ence.] The property of being continuously variable between two (esp. apparently disjunct) values, categories, etc.; an instance of this property, a continuum. Cf. *squish n. 4.
