generalized, ppl. a.|ˈdʒɛnərəlaɪzd| [f. generalize v. + -ed1.] In senses of the verb. Of a disease: That has extended itself to the system in general (so F. généralisé). generalized co-ordinates: in Theoretical Dynamics, a set of variables by the values of which the position of a system at any time may be defined.
