An apparatus which incorporates a fluorescent screen and is used in conjunction with an X-ray machine to produce a visible image of a body placed between the screen and the source of the rays. Hence fluoroˈscopic a., formed or done by means of a fluoroscope or fluoroscopy; pertaining to the fluoroscope or fluoroscopy; fluoroˈscopically adv.; fluoˈroscopy, the use of the fluoroscope; an examination by means of a fluoroscope.
