Berg 1858 in Linnæa XXIX. 258), f. the name of J. da Silva Feijo, 19th-century Spanish naturalist.] An evergreen shrub or small tree of the genus so named, which is native to South America and belongs to the family Myrtaceæ; also, the fruit of this tree.
