epistolographic, a.|ɪˌpɪstələʊˈgræfɪk| [ad. Gr. ἐπιστολογραϕικ-ός, f. ἐπιστολή (see epistle + γράϕ-ειν to write.] Used in the writing of letters. Applied esp. to the form of the ancient Egyptian character so employed: called also demotic and enchorial. (The Gr. word is thus applied by Clement of Alexandria and Porphyry.)
