■ entitle

作为表示“赋予权利”的及物动词，entitle 是延续体的第一类动词，表示延续的状态，而非瞬时的动作。无论主动或被动语气都可以有一般现在时。“权利”的内容用 to 加上名词或是 to inf. 来表示。

• This ticket entitles you to a free meal.凭这张票，你可以用一顿免费餐。
• The warranty entitles you to a replacement or refund.有了保单，你就可以换货或退款。
• There are 23 clubs throughout the United States, and your membership entitles you to enjoy all of them.全美各地一共有 23 所俱乐部，你凭会员资格，全都可以享受。
