[f. dread v., n., or ppl. a. + locks, pl. of lock n.1]
A Rastafarian hairstyle in which the hair is allowed to grow without combing, and forms into matted ‘locks’ which hang down from all over the head (see quot. 1966); the hair dressed in this way. Also in sing. (esp. attrib.).
