[ad. Gr. δοχµιακός, f. δόχµιος pertaining to a δοχµή or hand's-breath.]
A. adj. Of the nature of a dochmius; composed of dochmii, i.e. of pentasyllabic feet of which the typical form is ˘--˘-.
B. n. A foot or verse of this description. Hence dochˈmiacal a., connected with (in quot., learned in) dochmiac verse.
