[ad. L. discoīdēs, a. Gr. δισκοειδής quoit-shaped, f. δίσκος discus, quoit + -ειδης -form. In mod.F. discoïde.]
A. adj.
1. Of the form of a quoit or disc, disc-shaped; (more or less) flat and circular; in Conchol., used of spiral shells of which the whorls lie in one plane.
