cerclage, n. Med. (sɜːˈklɑːʒ, ‖ sɛrklaʒ) Also in anglicized form circlage. [a. F. cerclage, lit. ‘encirclement’.] The use of a ring or loop to bind together the ends of an obliquely fractured bone or encircle the os of an incompetent cervix.
