Beeren-, comb. form of Beere berry, grape + auslese.] Sweet white wine made (esp. in Germany) from selected individual grapes picked later than the general harvest (an official category of German wine); a wine of this category.

Wine vi. 185 In cases where the wine is a selected one—that is, made from grapes carefully chosen for their over-ripeness—the inscription should terminate with the word Auslese, Goldbeerenauslese, Beerenauslese...[etc.]. 1951R.
