basilics, n. pl.|bəˈsɪlɪks| [ad. L. basilica (also used in Eng.), a. Gr. βασιλικά, neut. pl. of adj. βασιλικός.] A digest of the laws of Justinian and other emperors, translated from Latin into Greek by command of the emperors Basil and Leo, and constituting the code of the Eastern empire.
