My grandmother lives in a very small village. Last summer holiday, I went to visit her. It took me nine hours to get there by bus. At four o'clock in the afternoon,I got out of the bus and looked around me.
It was typical of the small village of the countryside. The houses stood in two long lines on either side of the dusty road. In the village, the paint was peeling off the houses, and some small children were running to and fro,laughing. Under a big tree,there were a few old men sitting, playing chess and smoking their pipes. The old woman sat on the lawn in a circle,
knitting and chatting. An ox was quietly munching the long dry grass by the roadside.
What a typical small village it was! I sighed.
