A Few Remarks on Competition
Competition is a common phenomenon in our.social life. We compete when we play games, we try to do better than others in our study, and there is constant competition for jobs, customers, money, and so forth. We can say, to somee cxtent, competition is one of the motive forces of the devdopment of society.
And we often find competition and cooperation at the same time. Think of a baseball game, each team is competing with the other team. But each member of the teatn is cooperating with his or her teammates. In most casos, we can£§t do competition without cooperation. Thus tbey are equally important.
While we are advocating competltion, we can£§t forget cooperation. Nothing is to becarried to extremes. Pure and exclusive competition leads to failures. Competiton together with cooperation help us a great deal in obtaining our goals and satisfying our needs,especially in modernizing our country.
