adespota, n. pl. Bibliogr.|əˈdɛspətə| [neut. pl. of Gr. ἀδέσποτος without owner, f. ἀ- priv. + δεσπότης master, despot.] Literary works not attributed to (or claimed by) an author. Orig. used as a title of collections of anonymous Greek poetry.
