A derogatory term for a place where the lodging and care of babies is undertaken for profit. Hence ˈbaby-ˌfarming vbl. n., the keeping of such a place; also ppl. a.; ˈbaby-farmed ppl. a.; ˈbaby-ˌfarmer.
